bullets over broadway (1994)

new york, 1920s. david shayne gets from his producer julian marx the promise that his new play will be staged in a broadway theater. the financier of the show is actually a mobster gangster, nick valenti, looking for a handwriting for his beauty, olive, a totally talented dancer. the writer accepts the compromise but also manages to get, for the main part, helen sinclair, one of the best broadway actresses. during the tests, cheech, one of olive's bodyguards, suggests some variations to the text. shayne protests, but will welcome all her enlightened advice.
