la straniera (1930)

in a stately building a lavish reception is taking place in honor of the king of cement who has just married a charming and beautiful woman. but suddenly she disappears and can no longer be found. after frantic searches the husband finds her and comes to discover a terrible truth: the woman had disappeared for prostitution, in need of money, to carry out a revenge in defense of the honor of her mother who had made a sad end. the betrayed husband drags her out of this humiliating situation, knowing that something has broken in her feelings and that she will have nothing but simple friendship for the woman from that moment.
