the owner of a very busy and very popular delicatessen has a daughter who is in love with a young offspring, the son of a penniless count. when the noble, who has always opposed the wedding, learns that the future consuocera has a large hoard in the bank, ends up agreeing with the clause that the lady renounces the management of the company. the birth of a grandson makes everyone happy, but the grocer returns to his decision and is dedicated to the business that, during his absence, was falling. and the count also renounces his misconceptions about the nobility and the plebs, associating himself in the affairs of the prosperous delicatessen industry.
