green street (2005)

unjustly expelled from harvard university because he was found in possession of cocaine, matt decides to join his sister shannon who lives in london with her husband steve for a while. since matt is alone in a city he doesn't know and where he can't get his bearings, steve introduces his younger brother pete to him. at first the boy is not enthusiastic about bringing matt around, also because he doesn't want to be teased. after an evening spent in a pub drinking together, however, pete's opinion of matt changes radically. matt finds himself in this chaotic london made up of night clubs, good nights and football matches. when one day on his return from the stadium matt is approached by a group of birmingham boys, i decided to teach him a lesson, pete and his friends save him. matt will soon discover that behind the normal appearance of pete's life and his friends lies the fact that they are hooligans. initially contrary to their actions, he too will become involved in the wave of violence.
