monsoon wedding (2001)

the wedding guests arrive in delhi from all over the world: the young rahul studies at the university of sydney, while the groom hemant is an engineer in houston. while the bride's father is all busy with the pharaonic preparations for the reception, sentimental twirls weave around him and small family dramas are consumed: rahul is seduced by the sensual dances of cousin ayesha, even the funny wedding organizer, dubey, falls in love of the house maid, while the bride aditi has to find a way to confess to his promise her suffered love for a married man. in the end, however, the monsoons bring a refreshing rain that washes away all pain and the colorful happiness of the party reigns over everything.
