notting hill (1999)

william thacker, divorced, lives in notting hill, west london, with his friend spike, and is the owner of a bookstore in portobello road. one day enters the bookstore anna scott, hollywood movie star: buy a book and leave. william, stunned, goes to the bar: coming out with the glass in his hand he clashes with anna and spills the contents on her. to repair the damage, invite the star to your home: it will be the beginning of a series of meetings that will lead to a long and tormented love story.
