michael is a young idealist who gets the job of his dreams to the united nations as the coordinator of the 'oil for food' program. it is found in an iraq that, in the already tense atmosphere of the post-war period, is besieged by government agents and by countries greedy for power attracted like sharks from its oil reserves. michel will look for answers in the only person he believes he can trust: pasha, his chief and diplomatic expert. but the more he begins to discover the details, the more the suspicion begins to appear that this is a conspiracy at high levels.
