i due compari (1955)

giovanni berloni, with the help of his friend ciccillo, lives selling fake fountain pens in the streets. his daughter giulietta, unaware of her father's business since she is kept in a luxury college, knows the son of a wealthy industrialist. the two fall in love but, when she discovers the real economic condition of her father, she decides to leave the young man. even the industrialist, to whom giovanni has made to believe to be a colleague, soon realizes the staging, but favors the union of the young and gives giovanni a good job.
