il magistrato (1959)

the young magistrate morandi is involved in two events: the first professional (he must judge a stevedore who killed a dishonest laborer) and the second private (the tragic end of the family of which he is a guest: his father, destroyed by a wrong life, he killed himself after suppressing his wife and daughter). at first the magistrate, aware of the difficulties of managing justice, resigns, then accepts to continue his mandate.
