non c'è pace tra gli ulivi (1950)

a shepherd, veteran of war, to take revenge for a theft immediately, subtracts sheep from a squire of the town, an individual enriched with illegal trafficking propitiated by the war situation. the shepherd ends up in prison, but the rich, not happy, also tries to take away the woman. the young man, desperate, escapes, but his rival, frightened, kills the girl and, escaping, dies. for the boy, all that remains is the prison, but also the awareness that his act has served to bring other pastors closer together in the struggle against injustice.
