Ran (1985)

elder hidetora ichimonji, a powerful feudal lord in japan in the 1500s, decides to leave his kingdom to the three sons. while one of these leaves immediately because of a misunderstanding with his father, the other two begin to fight to gain dominion driven by the diabolical jaede, wife of the first son and then lover of the second son. in the end, none of the contenders will remain alive, and even the old man will die crashed in pain.
