a love song for bobby long (2004)

in a forgotten new orleans neighborhood, purslane hominy will, a sad and lonely teenager, decides to return to the city of her childhood after learning of her mother's death. once she arrived in the city, pursy discovered with great surprise that, instead of being abandoned as she had imagined, the house in which her mother had lived is inhabited by two men who have been leading a life outside the rules for years. bobby long, a former literature professor and lawson pines, his pupil / biographer, have taken root in the now rundown house and have no intention of leaving. the three are forced into a strange cohabitation, but at one point pursy discovers a secret that could change her life forever.
