A Tale of Five Women (1951)

an raf pilot who has lost his memory has nothing more to reconstruct his past than a photo of a child and five bills on each of which are written the names of a city and a woman. after having traveled through half of europe, he traces the women, slowly reconstructing the mosaic of his existence. finally the discovery: the child is his nephew, who works in a circus, like him before leaving for the war.
