addio per sempre (1957)

salvatore improta, on the eve of the outbreak of war, discovers his wife lucia in the company of his lover and kills him. to escape the prison, he escapes to the usa after having entrusted his two children: tina and peppino to his maternal grandmother. on christmas eve a letter from the fugitive arrives at his grandmother's house with money, the result of the work he has found. the same evening a violent bombardment destroys the neighborhood where the improta family lives. twenty years later salvatore returns home with mike, a friend who helped him establish himself in america.
