tommi, an eleven-year-old boy, lives with his father renato and his sister viola, who never misses a chance to make jokes and spite, but who represents a solid emotional bond both for him and for his father. renato seems to take life, society and relationships in general as a competition field from which to emerge victorious and never misses an opportunity to try to forge tommi, alternating moments of hardness with others of sweetness. despite some difficulties the three live with understanding, carving out moments of fun and serenity. the sudden return of stefania, her mother, whom we discover having repeatedly left the family and disappeared into thin air, moves strong feelings and blows the balance. tommi, who has seduced a strong distrust of him, resists them, while, at the same time, the mythical image of his father crumbles before his eyes, turning into that of a man, with his frailties.
