annapolis (2006)

jake huard is a boy who grew up in a family of the american lower middle class. when his application for admission to the prestigious annapolis naval academy is accepted jake thinks that his every dream can come true and he is convinced to start a path that will lead him to be a real man. the first impact with the academy and its strict rules is, instead, devastating because jake clashes with the hard wall of prejudice. nevertheless the boy wants to be able to show his superiors how, despite his simple origins, he is ready to become a real officer. since he has nothing to lose, jake tries everything for everything and asks to join the boxing team. he will have to clash with the academy champion, lieutenant cole, and he will have to do his best to make his father proud of him, gain the full confidence of his superiors and be able to build a different future.
