anni facili (1953)

a poor sicilian professor agrees to move to rome to work as a representative in a company that produces medicines. in charge of dealing with the bureaucratic procedures at the ministry, he is unable to free himself from the maze of corruption and dishonesty that surrounds him. withdrawn from the workplace due to "inefficiency", the professor adapts to become the secretary of a corrupt politician. in the end he will pay for the sins of others by ending up in jail instead of the politician.
