at five in the afternoon (2003)

in a war-torn kabul, an elderly and devoted carter roams the city looking for a safe place for his family, waiting to see his son, who was missing in pakistan. his daughter dreams of becoming the future president of afghanistan, taking advantage of the opportunities open to women with the fall of the regime. without money, not even to buy the medicines necessary to cure the disturbing illness of the youngest child, the family is forced to move incessantly. terrible news comes from pakistan. desperate, the carter leaves kabul and, taking with him what remains of his family, goes in search of a refuge in a holy place, away from the city.
