batticuore (1939)

in paris, a very pretty but poor young woman attends a school of petty thieves, but since she is honest, she would like to drop everything and find a permanent job. to get the job, however, she has to pay a deposit, so she steals a pin from a diplomat's tie during a social evening, but is caught red-handed by the diplomat who asks her in exchange to steal a watch from an english lord, a clock in which it should be there the picture of your spouse. everything ends in the best way: there is no trace of the photo and the girl and the english end up falling in love and getting married.
