for the count of montecorvo, who is one hundred years old, two of his nephews pretend to have married each other, a marriage that the old man yearned for. but he also wants a grandson and the two young men, who are indifferent to each other, must return to the castle and present a false child. but one day the real mother claims the child, the end of the world happens with sensational scenes that end when the two young people finally discover that they love each other and decide to get married in earnest.
