two prisoners in the guyana penal bathroom, cheri bbi and laficelle, take command of the boat that transports them to the penitentiary. during the journey they collect a castaway, maxime, married to a woman already loved by cheri bibi. a convict, kanak, kills him and molds the face of cheri bibi with the features of the dead. with the new identity the convict does not struggle to take revenge on all those who have harmed him.
