a pianist, giorgio suprina, falls in love with one of his students, elena. the two decide to run away together, but the death of the singing school teacher and the disappearance of some jewels lead the police to suspect elena. defended by a young lawyer, the girl is acquitted. love is born between the two, but in order not to compromise the young man's career, elena leaves him and, to live, adapts to singing in a club that is owned by a woman who loves suprina. the latter attempts too violent advances against elena, who kills him. he will still be the lawyer to defend her and have her acquitted. this time the two will join forever.
