four friends, more or less injured by life and all with parapsychological faculties, find themselves in maine for the traditional deer hunting. instead they will have to defend themselves against aliens who have chosen that place to begin their invasion and by a colonel who, seeing aliens everywhere, does not bother going into thin lines and tends to imprison and massacre any suspicion.
