yassine, a young moroccan, comes to paris to study architecture with a student visa. arriving late for the exam loses his visa and finds himself illegally in france. after collecting a lot of rubbish from aspiring potential girlfriends, the only option he has is to stage a fake gay marriage with his best french friend. but the two will have to prove that they are a true homosexual couple in the eyes of a tenacious and suspicious french inspector, of the super-protective mother of yassine, and of claire, a young girl whose yassine is in love.
