everybody's famous! (2000)

jean, a forty-year-old worker, dreams of a star for his daughter marva, a music lover. the contests in which the girl participates are however a fiasco and the man, who for her composes improbable songs, is found by chance face to face with the most popular singer of the moment. desperate, he decides to kidnap her in exchange for a ransom, but the girl's manager promises jean to launch marva towards the top of the hit-parade if, in exchange, he gives up releasing the kidnapped too quickly, to the benefit of the audience.
