Gente dell'aria (1943)

a lombard industrialist has had two children from two different wives, but the two children hate each other and even become rivals in love because they are in love with the same girl. at the outbreak of the second world war the eldest of the two half-brothers joined the air force, while the minor remained in the paternal industry; but even in his superficiality he feels the duty to enlist himself too. destiny wants the two to be together and both to be shot down by enemy planes and forced to wander on a makeshift boat for days on the high seas. this allows them to get to know each other profoundly by dropping any barrier of distrust.
