giù il sipario (1940)

a provincial young man manages to present a play he wrote by a wandering theater company. but one of his uncle, who does not graciously see the ambitions of his nephew's playwright, pays a strong sum to the manager so that he throws off the theatrical work. shortly after, however, he repents and, halfway through the show, with a new outlay of money, he gets the comedy to have the success it deserves.
