a federal agent, who claims to be a lloyds appointee in london, tries to find out the author of a bank robbery (also responsible for the murder of two of his accomplices). the man suspects three strange individuals: the owner of an economically desperate ranch, the owner of a saloon betrayed by his wife and a collector of poisonous snakes. after long investigations the agent identifies the sheriff's owner and his lover, the wife of the saloon owner, the authors of the heinous crimes.
