kenji and his brother senko are part of a small gang of gangsters along with chieko, a girl from kenji and gunpei. in front of a jewelry store, kenji sees a young woman who has just purchased a precious object. this is yasue, a modest typist who went to that jewelry store by order of her boss, ono. chieko also works in the same company as yasue. a few days later kenji accidentally meets yasue and the two spend some time together deciding to see each other again. chieko, jealous, tells yasue that kenji is a thug and gives her an appointment in a hotel room where he must actually be seduced by ono, who has long wanted her. kenji, who has decided to change his life, discovers the truth and arrives just in time to save yasue. however, the woman, still upset by chieko's revelation, escapes alone. kenji finds work as a window cleaner and senko, also redeemed, as a driver. but chieko and gunpei still try to drag them on their side and after a violent argument, which yasue also casually assists, they report him to the police for his past misdeeds. kenji is arrested along with his brother. yasue will wait for him. released from prison, the two young men will be joyfully welcomed by the woman and her family.
