hollywood ending (2002)

a director, former oscar winner, slipped into oblivion, receives a job offer through the intercession of his ex-wife, the companion of a producer. he sets his head to the point of demanding a director of photography who speaks only mandarin and proposing to shoot in black and white. his destiny becomes surreal, to the point of being struck by a sudden blindness of psychosomatic origin. his film will be cut off in the us, but applauded as a masterpiece in france and he, cured, will leave for paris.
