I figli del marchese Lucera (1938)

an elderly noble, financially in bad waters, with the complicity of a former partner of youthful revelry, puts in place a series of expedients in order to 'create' a natural child who has many money. the first, a foundling, is recognized by the nobleman as his son: he believes he is a banker and instead he is simply a banker. an attempt is made with a second child who turns out to be the owner of a shoe factory, but the young man who is hindered in his sentimental intentions, because of his relatives against him, conducts his business so disastrously that he finds himself in an extremely precarious situation. only for a fortuitous event does the noble discover an illegitimate daughter in the merchant's girlfriend, and from that revelation he becomes aware of his wrong life and comes to his senses.
