a gentleman who had given himself to banditry is captured and sentenced to death. but the council of ten of the republic of venice proposes salvation in exchange for the acceptance of becoming the bravo, a kind of secret executioner who executes the sentences of the council for which absolute silence is demanded. but when he finds himself in front of his son, unjustly accused of a crime, he redeems his life sacrificing himself to save him and shedding light on the obscure maneuvers of political intrigues.
