an inflexible and irreproachable judge suffers from an anomaly of which he is not conscious: the splitting of his personality. during the day he is a model judge, while at night he leads a sordid and dangerous life in the underworld. instigated by one of his unscrupulous mistresses, one night he enters his own house to kill 'the judge', but at the sight of his furniture and familiar objects he realizes his serious abnormality and begins a tremendous struggle with himself, animated from the will to heal at any cost.
