il mulatto (1950)

a woman, raped by a black soldier, dies giving birth to a child. her husband, who meanwhile has tied himself to another woman, refuses the little one because of his skin. slowly, however, a deep friendship develops between the two. some time later the boy's uncle shows up to take him across the ocean. although he became aware of his father's death, the little mulatto agrees to leave.
