two farmer brothers are very different from each other: both one is sober and hardworking, so the other is spendthrift and womanizer. one day a beautiful american girl arrives in the country, who came to italy to marry a nobleman whom she saw only in photography. when he sees that the original does not meet his expectations, the disappointed girl flees and takes refuge with the two brothers. the presence of the foreign blonde puts the whole village in turmoil and a strong competition is born between the two brothers to conquer it, so much so that one of the two is about to send off their engagement with a girl from the village. everything, however, is unhappy with the arrival of the girl's relatives who take her away, while the brothers make peace and the harmony of always returns to the country.
