in order to live together, given the hostility of their respective families, two young people run away from home. the young man, who has a good voice, fortunately finds a writing in a variety show where there is a seductive soubrette that subjugates him only to his charm; the girl, on the other hand, is taken into custody by a mature opera singer who sees in her a certain resemblance to a deceased daughter. when the young man is abandoned by the soubrette, repentant, he would like to repair the wrongs done to the beloved girl, but finds serious opposition in the putative father, who, however, when he is convinced that the two truly love each other, facilitates their union.
