invisible circus (2001)

san francisco 1977. before beginning university, eighteen year old phoebe decides to face the obsession that is destroying her life and partly on the trail of her sister faith, who died suicide six years earlier. determined to discover the reasons for the suicide, phoebe retraces the route of faith in europe, from amsterdam to paris, where she traces wolf, her sister's ex-boyfriend, with whom she continues the journey to the small town of portugal where faith chose to die. gradually, thanks to wolf's confessions, phoebe will discover a new and shocking image of her sister, dedicated to hallucinogens and linked to a berlin revolutionary group.
