L'angelo bianco (1955)

the engineer guido carani, widower of a woman he loved a lot, casually meets on the train a dancer who looks like her in an incredible way. between the two begins a relationship but the woman, for a history of smuggling, ends up in prison and is involved in an attempt to escape, just after giving birth to a child and having married guido. the evasion leads to tragedy: to save her son, who is being held hostage, the woman dies in the flames of a fire.
