l'eredità in corsa (1939)

a provincial hairdresser unexpectedly receives the news of an inheritance from a deceased aunt, an aunt he didn't even know he had. he then goes to the city to discover that the legacy is reduced to thirteen ancient venetian style chairs. he then sells them to an antique dealer, but then discovers in the house of the deceased aunt a ticket in which he is warned that in one of the chairs the sum of one hundred thousand lire in cash has been hidden. the stunned hairdresser rushes from the antiquarian to get the chairs back, but finds them already sold to various customers. the two team up in the desperate enterprise of following the chairs through the various fates they suffered. in the frantic race they find the sum in the last chair, purchased by an orphanage which, thanks to this money, could solve a precarious economic condition. the two partners, moved, renounce to assert their rights.
