a taxi driver, who lives in a modest apartment with his wife and daughter, finds a baby in his car one day. the girl-mother who left her was immediately injured in a car accident. not knowing how to behave, the good man brings the child home, arousing the jealousy of the wife, convinced that the child is born from an adulterous affair of her husband. meanwhile, the mother, recovered from the wounds of the accident and regretted having abandoned her baby, turns to the police to find him again. when the baby was returned, the mother left, and the taxinaro played the lottery numbers relating to this bizarre affair, winning a considerable sum, which he could not collect because, in the hustle and bustle, he lost the receipt. but then luckily he finds it, collects the prize and peace returns to the family.
