L'ippocampo (1945)

a young and fortunate composer loves reciprocating his wife and is so attached to her that he is compared by a friend, an unrepentant womanizer, to a seahorse. a charming lady tries to make him fall into his net of evil, but he escapes, even if a series of negative circumstances breaks marital harmony. the man, to return the serene in family, is forced to confess to his wife an adultery never committed.
