la donna della montagna (1944)

an engineer, who lost his wife in a mountain accident, closes in on himself, lovingly assisted by a pretty young girl, to whom he slowly binds, more out of gratitude than out of love, and ends by marrying her. but the memory of his beloved wife does not abandon him and this causes various differences with the new bride who adapts to live in total submission, in order to remain close to him. this situation lasted for quite some time until the patience and delicacy of the girl succeeded in dissolving the crisis of the man who in the meantime became aware that his deceased wife had an affair with another man. the engineer understands what his true feelings are and starts a new life with his new wife.
