Facing Windows (2003)

giovanna and filippo, despite being very young, have been married for nine years and have two children: she works as an accountant in an industrial poultry shop and he gets by going from one precarious job to another. giovanna's life flows between work rhythms, children to take to school, dinner to prepare, a job she doesn't like; the life he wanted to do is forgotten in the folds of a daily newspaper that is always the same, beset by economic difficulties. in the evening, when the children are in bed, in the moment of quiet before turning off the lights, giovanna spies from the window her neighbor, lorenzo, whose window is right in front of his. one day she and her husband meet an old gentleman on the street who has lost his memory: not knowing what to do, they welcome him into the house for a few days and it will be giovanna who will have to take care of him and discover, slowly, what is hidden in his past.
