la fossa degli angeli (1937)

in carrara, the daughter of the owner of a small marble quarry, nicknamed the 'fossa degli angeli', already engaged to a young digger, knows the chief worker, friend of her boyfriend, and falls deeply in love with him, reciprocated by the man. strengthening themselves, the two declare their feeling in the dramatic moment when a landslide overwhelms some workers, including the girl's fiancé, oblivious to everything. the young man perishes in the accident and at first the two lovers feel guilty and responsible for the death of the young man, but they manage to overcome this agonizing moment and get married.
