labbra serrate (1942)

the son of an honest judge of the court of assizes has taken a fancy to a self-styled countess, beautiful and very courteous, and to be able to stand next to her he puts himself against the whole family who does not look favorably on this relationship. one day she is found murdered in her apartment and the judge's son is obviously suspected. at the trial that follows, the young man gives no explanation for his gesture, also because he believes that the real murderer is his brother-in-law, already a former lover of the murdered. and it is precisely the brother-in-law, who supports the role of prosecutor in court, who by carrying out some investigations manages to prove the defendant's innocence and to unmask the real culprit: the victim's sister, exasperated by the harassment to which the joint forced her, making her moreover, supporting the role of a common servant.
