lantana (2001)

leon is a stressed policeman who has an affair with jane, whom he met at the salsa classes that he reluctantly attends with his wife sonja. sonja suspects treason and confides in a psychologist who, in turn, lives a marriage tormented by the death of her teenage daughter and on whose violent death she has written a best seller. the married life reduced to long silences, non-existent sex and embarrassing formality, the psychologist begins to think that her husband betrays her with a man who could even be one of his clients. in this web of infidelity and discomfort, leon ends up investigating the sudden disappearance of the psychologist and jane becomes, by chance, the witness who puts him on the right track.
