back on his possessions, a baron meets the two factor sisters. first courts franca, who gives in, gets pregnant and gives birth to a child; then he tries with amina, who has fallen in love with him, but finds a serious obstacle in her sister. the jealousy of the two women risks ending in tragedy, but amina, repentant, becomes a nun. the baron marries franca.
