a girl, left an orphan, is welcomed into the home of a rich country boy and is raped by him one evening when he returns home drunk. repenting of his gesture, he would like to marry her but, shortly before the wedding, the man is murdered and the girl is expelled from the family of the dead. left alone and without resources, the woman painfully lives her existence, brings into the world a child who, shortly afterwards, will die of an illness, and manages to climb back uphill after having met the nephew of the killed, also in very bad financial and moral conditions.
