sophie and olivier are a normal, young couple who own a bakery in paris. olivier gets up at three in the morning to make bread and sophie divides her time between the shop counter and the care of her two children. life is marked by the heavy rhythms of work; by day olivier sleeps and seems to no longer notice his wife's graces. fatigue eats the hugs and the tenderness of the first times. reading an announcement posted on the board of the olivier shop, and after some hesitation, sophie, they get in touch with paul and colette, a strange couple of old men who have put their share of a small villa by the sea for sale at a very low price. timeshare: a bargain! sophie and olivier decide to buy the house without going to see it. finally sophie leaves for the sea with the children and discovers that the cheap cottage is in the heart of a fundamentalist nudist village. after the initial shock, sophie, awaiting olivier's arrival, begins to learn about the strange world of lights and shadows (the erotic triangles of neighbors that sophie spies on from her garden or night partouze by the sea) and finally the initial disturbance melts into an unexpected ending.
