My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

everyone in the portokalos family is worried about toula who, still unmarried at 30, works in the greek family restaurant and refuses to be sent to greece to find a husband. troubled by the chance encounter with a charming young professor who barely notices her, toula starts a radical change: she changes her look, enrolls in a computer school and starts working in the travel agency run by her aunt. this time the charming professor offers her an appointment and soon the two end up falling in love. when they decide to get married they will have to use all their patience to convince her family that ian is the right husband despite not being greek and not eating meat.
